The strain is the result of breeders crossing its two parent strains OG Kush and XXX. The results were an Indica leaning hybrid strain that produces a relaxing balanced high.
The name OG XXX pays homage to the strain’s birthplace and Dutch capital, Amsterdam. The strain has become hugely popular in the coffeeshops of Amsterdam and even picked up an award or two along the way. These sticky buds took 1st place in the 2014 Los Angeles Cannabis Cup.
The effects of OG XXX rely hugely on the dosage. In small doses, the effects are relaxing and moderately sedating. The head high is very clear and energy usually remains high with small amounts. On the other hand, larger doses will have users completely chilled and almost lethargic. OG XXX is a good choice for anyone with insomnia or sleep pattern issues.
